This series will show you how to “Migrate WordPress to New Server“, we use these guidelines to deploy new websites from our development systems through to production installations for professional services such as an Accounting firm, Medical Practice or Finance Broker.
In this example I will be working with www.FirstHomeBuyers.co
The third step in the process will be to install wordpress on cpanel and test basic login and ftp connections.

Access WHM and Go to Account or Site CPanel

Access CPanal

- You can access CPANEL via WHM but there will be a warning letting you know your are logged in as the Reseller – Port: 2087
- You can also access CPANEL directly – Port: 2083
Go to Addon Domains

Fill in Addon Domain Details

- Domain Name
- User name (Part of) for the FTP account, please note that in this case, the user name will be firsthomebuyers@[CPANELACCOUNT].com.au
- Leave the default location for document Root
- FTP Password
Test FTP with FileZillar

- Host for the website, Note: there is no www or ftp
- Make the same as Host
- User name is the name from previous step @ cpanel account domain name
Install WordPress using Softaculous

Install WordPress

Basic WordPress Installation Settings

- Select www Protocol
- Select domain from dropdown list
- Create a Database Name, limited to 7 characters
- Create a strong password
- Set you or the web administrator’s email address
- Click Install
